As we step into September, I'm excited to highlight National Self-Care Awareness Month. This is the perfect time to reflect on our personal wellness journeys and prioritize our well-being. Taking time for self-care not only rejuvenates us physically, but also mentally and emotionally, setting the tone for a balanced and fulfilling fall. Self care is not selfish. As defined in its 2017 founding, it's essential to maintaining our overall health by prioritizing our physical, mental, and emotional well-being. What does your self-care program look like?

Upcoming Workshop: Gait and the Effects of Posture

Mark your calendar for Saturday, October 11, 1:00pm, for 90 minutes. Join me for an enlightening workshop where we will explore the intricate relationship between our gait and posture. Understanding how the way we walk influences our alignment can lead to improved movement patterns and overall health. This workshop is designed for all levels and promises to be both informative and transformative. You can join a live workshop at Club Pilates in Bend, Oregon or attend virtual classes. Be prepared to move and learn more about how your gait affects many aspects of your body. There is no one "right way" to walk, but analyzing your gait can help you improve the results of your walking.  We will use an assessment document to help us better understand how our gait impacts walking and other activities. The cost is $65 for the 90 minute workshop.

·        I've recently been in contact with someone who owns a villa in Asti, Italy that includes a studio fully equipped for Pilates classes. I am considering leading a retreat to this lovely location in September 2026. Please let me know if you are interested. I will provide more details soon.
